and a design better is called a non design
but they show what they have at the 2007 Auto Motor China
Exhibition in Shanghai.

By reading through the eleventh and newest Chinese
government five yearly plan this might be changing the
Chinese get serious to do their “homework”, that means
taking intellectual or copy rights more serious.

Gradually, a Chinese car style get shaped.
Several studies shown on the fair indicate that the Chinese
getting serious to bring some kind of individual identity to
their models. Roewe shows the W2 a derivate from the Rover
remains without British blueprints. Some fashionable coupe’s
are shown easily matching some Italian styling.
At the 2007 Auto Motor China Exhibition in Shanghai
the most advanced however are Brilliance and Cherry, as the
first Chinese manufacturer with some European structure.
Both introduced two compact vehicles, that are be virtually
not salable in their home Chinese market which is dominated
by limousines, they are created for the export.

At the 2007 Auto Motor China Exhibition in Shanghai
Cherry show a three door design with some Lancia flavor.
Brilliance picked FRV for its compact car somehow a "China
golf" – should read the most successful model of VW the
Golf. It will be exported to Europe in the near future.
There is even some cutting edge auto in the pipe like at
Roewe with a hybrid drive, a Haima with electric motor and a
full-grown middle class limousine from Cherry with a
combination of a diesel engine and a electric generator with
a proposed consumption of less than three liters fuel per
100 kilometers.
Naturally there are a couple of Car’s exhibited at the
Auto China Motor Exhibition in Shanghai
one
thinks automatically, haven’t I seen this already some time
ago somewhere on a road in Europe ?
So
the Haima S1 appears strongly inspired from the Opel
Astra. The F8 of BYD (Build Your

Dream) one recognizes influences of Mercedes CLK, Renault
Mégane and Opel Astra Twintop, and hardly any other brand
imitates with a greater impertinence as Great Wall Motors
with crossover of Toyota Auris, Nissan Cube and Fiat panda.
But the real shooting star
came from BMW, the BMW CS model,

can anyone
point out a more attractive car?
As
almost everywhere in China the foreigner will have some
problems at the exhibition since there is hardly to find
anyone speaking English and – or any English printed
material.
